Where to Stay in Marrakech

Riads
Many and we are one of the many who have opted to stay in a Riad.  A Riad is  a traditional Moroccan house found in the old towns a/k/a in the Medina. What I love about most riads is that there is mosaic colored central courtyard, reasonably priced, there is a restaurant, pool and all most always a rooftop cafe or terrazzo. Researching for the best riad takes work, check this website for a list of riads in Marrakech including photos and prices Riad Marrakech website. Riads are not all expensive, check out L’Heure d’Ete ,    or    chic accommodations all for less than $100USD.

Want something a little more upscale? Try these Riads in Marrakesh:

  • La Maison Arabe: very chic, pampering luxury riad  in the Marrakech Medina. Offers traditional beautiful hammam (or traditional Moroccan sauna), a cooking school only 20 minutes away, and a swimming pool to die for.
  • Riad Nashira & Spa:  Known as the hidden gem.  With only 15 minutes from the Marrakesh airport your oasis awaits you.
  • Riad Kniza: What we love about this small, romantic, and charming riad is that it is centrally located in the town. Its just simply breathtaking.

How to Get to Marrakech

By Air
Marrakech has an international airport with many scheduled flights coming in from New York and Spain. If you need an airport transfer to your Riad or Hotel we recommend that you secure that taxi before you arrive.

By Train
There are trains that run regularly between Marrakech and Tangier. The trip can be booked online.
