This August we will venture all the way to South of Spain and bits and parts of Morocco.  We have our eye set on the Blue City of Chefchaouen. Chefchaouen is the northwest city of Morocco nestled in the mountain region.

The blue washed Moroccan city offers plenty of food and attraction.  We will be delighted to indulge in the seafood cuisine that this city offers.  The Tissemlal Restaurant in Casa Hassan Hotel was recommended.  The city offers ample shopping for fine wool, pottery and linens. A place to stay Casa Perleta and Casa Sabila.

The local weather in Chefchaouen is about 92 degrees (33 c). All we can say is bring it on.  We are ready for that kind of humidity (we think HA!). Currency is Dirham (1 United Arab Emirates Dirham equals 0.27 US Dollar).  And more importantly Se Habla Espanol alla. YAY!

We are finally having a proper Summer here in  Fairfield, CT and have already started the season with dinners on our patio.  We now start to focus our attention to our end of season trip to Morocco and Southern Spain for Beach and Relaxation.  The side trip to Morocco is starting to take shape and we are planning Cave of Hercules, a walk on Boulevard Pasteur, a Camel ride, Casa Barata Flea Market and of course beach.

Just fell in love with Mnar Castle Hotel; super stunning. However, we are also eyeing La Mamounia. A little birdie told me about GastroMK for the best cuisine in Marrakesh. And a spa treatment at El Fenn.

Returning from South Africa just one month ago, the drive through the Game Reserves and the feeling of being so close to nature has not left me.  Truly Africa is an experience one should enjoy within their lifetime. A recent review of the Virgin Limited Edition Properties peeked my interest again in Africa namely, Morocco and South Africa – a stark difference but still very much Africa. Enjoy!
